Chapter 40: Being Seen Through Thoughts

Scarlet looked at Hades with a bewildered expression on her face as she raised her head. She pushed away his hand in a flash as if it had never been there. The look that Scarlet gave me was completely mocking. She did not show the slightest bit of interest in Hades' noble and compassionate deeds.

Scarlet: "Kindly refrain from engaging in activities that might lead to misunderstandings with other people. These deeds are best carried out in the company of your teeny-tiny mistress. I already have Lucas, so there is no need for you to worry about him any longer."

After making that statement, she promptly went to sleep with her head buried in Lucas' lap.

Hades was successfully enraged by Miren's unyielding refusal right up until the very end. He raised his head and cast a furious glare in Lucas' direction. He had intended to say a few more words, but Lucas was uninterested in Hades and went straight to Scarlet's bedroom. Originally, he had intended to say a few more words.

Lucas was able to successfully bring Scarlett back to the bedroom by using loud footsteps that followed the familiar corridor.

Scarlet should be positioned on the bed. Lucas took the time to assist her in removing her shoes and her jewelry carefully. Hades suddenly materialized from behind him just as he was about to assist her in taking off her coat. Confronting him with compelling arguments coldly stops him from acting.

Hades: "You shouldn't put your hands on Scarlet's body in any way. Even though Scarlet is not my wife, I think you can grasp what I am trying to say. I suppose Scarlet would feel awkward and awkward knowing that you or I were the ones to take her clothes off."

The words spoken by Hades undoubtedly caused Lucas' hand to stop moving. He turned his attention first back to Scarlet, then back to Hades. Even though Lucas wanted to end things quickly with Hades, what Hades said was accurate.

Even though Scarlet is Lucas's best friend, men and women are still considered to be separate genders. Lucas would get in trouble with Scarlett if she deliberately touched her body without first obtaining her permission. After giving it some consideration, Lucas concluded that he should make his request.

"Please allow the maid to enter the room, Lucas. I need someone to come in here and assist her with getting dressed as soon as possible. To tell you the truth, I don't think it's appropriate for you to be in this location either."

Hades to Scarlet: "You think I'll have bad intentions with her, do you?"

A sarcastic grin appeared on Lucas's face as he asked, "Did I say the wrong thing?"

A brief pause ensued, during which Lucas's stunning eyes, which were framed by full lashes, surveyed Hades in their entirety. Those reproachful eyes were making an effort to rile up Hades.

"Hades, you can fool people. You fooled Scarlet into thinking and wanting what you wanted her to," said Lucas. "But I can see through your lies and disguises. It is obvious that you are interested in Scarlet because you are attempting to acquire her."

Hades laughed, proudly raised his head, and vehemently denied Lucas' accusations as soon as they were made. It's ridiculous that an average guy like Lucas would comment on him like that; why would he do that? Hades had a good understanding of his character, and he didn't think he had any interest in a woman like Scarlet. Ellie was the only woman besides himself that Hades had any interest in.

Hades said, "Please put an end to all of that ridiculous thinking. You are making the assumption, Lucas, that you are so intelligent that you can deduce what it is that I am considering. But that's like a joke just for me. Since Scarlet and I are merely playing the roles of husband and wife for this arrangement, neither of us will ever have an affair with the other."

Lucas let out a condescending snort and muttered, "Ridiculous." He made a joke out of the blue. After that, Lucas ceased arguing with Hades and instead turned his attention to the bed where Scarlet was resting in silence.

Even while doing so, he managed to keep Hades's self-assured grin completely on his lips. On the other hand, his heart started screaming hysterically from the inside. When Hades saw that his heart's eyes were staring directly at his own, he was unable to conceal his growing terror. It would appear that Lucas's cryptic statements from just a moment ago were not entirely unreasonable, and Hades himself appeared to be quite shaken.

Midnight.

Scarlet was startled when she felt a strange, icy hand touch her body. Scarlet's eyes popped open as soon as she felt the warmth of human flesh, even though the hand that she felt was cold but soft. She flung her pointer back at the person who was groping her, furiously for a split second, but she wanted to hit the person in the face.

Unhappily, it appears that the unknown person has already guessed Scarlet's thoughts and actions before they were revealed. He countered her attack with lightning speed in the blink of an eye, then deftly twisted her hand and pressed it firmly against her naked back.

The scent of the desolate night forest started to become more noticeable over time.

Her tense body relaxed almost instantly, but the murderous intent that was visible in her eyes remained.

Scarlet yells at Hades, "What the hell are you doing in my bed, and why are you doing it?"

His large, icy hand rested on her full breasts as he fidgeted with two tense rose buds. Her breasts were very full. It is very easy to see Hades' desire and passion for Scarlet's body through the skilled kneading movement that he is performing. The movement is extremely smooth.

Scarlet shivered and grimaced as she wondered what had prompted Hades's unexpected appearance and how he was behaving toward her. Scarlet isn't afraid to have s*x with Hades, but she does feel disrespected when he doesn't explain things in a way that she can understand.
