Chapter 69: No Answers

1007 Words
Ellie gritted her teeth as she thought about how Hades was nothing like her father. Now, he is an entirely different person from who he used to be. A person who poses a threat to Ellie's health and who could potentially cause her harm. Ellie's teeth became even more clenched as she buried her face in the blanket and accepted that she would have to let go of the grip she had on Hades so that he could let his wrath loose on her body. Not only did Hades have no compassion or pity for Ellie, but he also felt ecstatic about the fact that this was the case. Hades was similar to a horse whose reins had become untied; he charged forward without hesitation, openly disclosing his true character. The large room was filled with the sound of the two individuals' heavy breathing and the smell of the heavy sweat that was being produced by their bodies. After everything was said and done, Hades sat down next to Ellie and made a motion as if he were going to pull her into his lap, but Ellie rebuffed him in a chilly manner. She slowly sat up straight, her gaze fixed on Hades' face the entire time. Her safe haven lacked any trace of emotion at this point; it seemed as though the unending suffering had turned it into stone. Hades made a scowling face because he did not like the way Ellie looked. Ellie gave him her full attention for a few moments before covering her face in a helpless attempt to stop the tears from falling. The man was losing fresh blood at a steady trickle from the bottoms of his feet. When Hades realized what was happening, he sat up and stutteringly asked, "How are you, Ellie? Are you hurt?" Ellie broke down in tears as she realized that the physical pain in her body was nothing compared to the anguish she felt on the inside. Agony, rage, melancholy, and bewilderment were the emotions that refused to leave her side despite her best efforts. The appearance of her face smudged with tears caused Hades to become significantly more serious. He wanted to console her by wrapping his arms around her and holding her close, but Ellie steadfastly resisted his attempts to embrace her and moved away from him. Sparkling tears fell, each one acting as a knife slicing deeply into Hades' body as it fell. He suffers from intense feelings of guilt and anguish. He is filled with remorse and sorrow over the fact that he has made her go through this. Ellie: "Why on earth would you treat me like this? I adore you, cherishes you with every fiber of my being, and am always prepared to lay down my life for you. But why are you... you are purposefully attempting to make my life miserable?" The room was filled with heavy sighs. The moment Hades finished stroking Ellie's stunning face, he immediately proceeded to punch himself in the face. Perhaps the throbbing in his cheek will finally cause him to come to his senses. This time, too, Ellie did nothing to stop him because she believed that Hades deserved to be punished in this manner. She was going to speak, but the loud ringing of the phone cut her off before she could finish. When Hades finally got around to picking up the phone, his already miserable appearance became even more miserable. Hades quickly accepted responsibility for his actions, then hung up the phone and got out of bed. Ellie speculated that Hades' hurried appearance and how he spoke was related to the fact that he was thinking about his family. She looked down in silence at her hidden location, where she was frantically attempting to soak up the fresh blood that was leaking out with paper. Ellie received an immediate explanation from Hades, who also extended his apologies for the situation. "Ellie, now I need to hurry to the HOS restaurant because my parents are there." They have been doing so for over an hour now in anticipation of my arrival. Because I don't want to make them angry, I have to leave now. My personal physician will be notified about your injury, and he will make arrangements to examine you as soon as possible. After hearing this, Ellie's face turned pale, and she made it clear that she would not consent to another man touching her body. She quickly turned him down, saying, "Hades, I don't want other men to see my body. Even if they are medical professionals, I just don't feel right in this environment." Hades was aware of the reasons behind Ellie's extreme level of apprehension. He leaned his head forward and planted a passionate kiss on her forehead before drawing her into his arms for a bear hug. Hades was unable to exert control over his own feelings at the moment, and as a result, he fantasized that the woman he was making love with was Scarlet rather than Ellie. Because of this, Hades purposefully inflicted pain and suffering on her by harming her body. Hades: "I'm such a jackass, I'll get back home as quickly as I possibly can. Because I drank too much today, I was unable to exercise self-control. I am truly sorry, and I assure you that something similar won't take place again in the foreseeable future." Ellie chose to remain silent even though she was harboring numerous uncertainties in her mind. Her focus began to waver at this point, and it has continued to do so ever since. ——— Things started to settle down after a while. Scarlet had the impression that she was getting too accustomed to this time. Even though it is said that there is always a clear blue sky before a storm, this blueness is just the beginning of unhappy things that will happen in the future; the future is full of storms, which will prevent people from running even if they want to run.
