I stood in front of the Midnight pack’s pack house, staring at the building with mixed emotions. Growing up, this was a second home for me. The Alpha couple had loved me just as if I was their own flesh and blood. We had always known Ryan was my mate, even before the mate bond ever set in, and hence I had always viewed this place as if it were my own. But not anymore.
