The Meeting

Miss Judy; Mr. Edward will see you now, the secretary informed her. Who is Mr. Edward, please? She asked. Oh sorry, Gabrielle smiled. The CEO, his name is Mr. Edwards. Oh, okay.

Please follow me, she told Judy. Judy followed her through the walkway to a beautifully well-made door that looked different from every other door she had come across in the company. Please go inside; he is waiting for you, she smiled again.

He was dark and had a finely cut face which comprised of big eyeballs, a pointed nose, beautiful lips, and a nice set of teeth which was seen whenever he talked or smiled. He also had dreadlocks on and was probably tall but she could not tell since he was sitting down.

All these thoughts were in her heart when she heard her name. Miss Judy, Mr. Edwards called out to her still looking into his laptop.

Yes, miss...he raised his face to behold the beauty that was sitting right in front of him. He was speechless and amazed at the creator's work of art. He could not stop looking at her, is everything okay sir? She finally mustered the courage to ask him.

Oh, I am fine, thank you. Miss Judy, right? Yes, sir, I am Judy but Judith in full. Okay Judith, are you sure you can work with me? Yes, sir, I can work with you. I can be very difficult sometimes and not easy to please. I love excellent, composure and I love my work to be very neat, he explained.

Judy laid down on her bed watching a movie, the day had been hectic and she was trying to relax. The movie was interesting, so she laughed occasionally.

She had not check her mails in a while, she started checking them one after the other.. She was still checking it when the phone beeped again. The sender had the name "Whiteberg resources" on it.

Judy opened the mail in a hurry, she was not really expecting anything. To her, it was a 50-50 thing. She may get the job and she may not. To her surprise; she saw a congratulatory message "congratulations ma'am, you are to resume exactly 7:45 am tomorrow".

She screamed so loud, she could not believe it. She ran straight to her parents room. Mum, dad come and see. I got the job, she said while running to her parents room.

She knocked seriously on the door but there was no answer, her parents were probably asleep. Not a problem, she smiled to herself. I will inform them in the morning, mum and dad will be so happy.

I need to celebrate, I have to. She took a pack of juice from the fridge and glass too then she went straight to her room to enjoy.

THE NEXT MORNING.

At exactly 7:30 am, Judy got to the company and was directed to sit at the reception hall. She was well dressed, so much so that the secretary had to complement her that morning.

After about 5 minutes, Gabby came to meet her. Please follow me, she said with a smile. Gabby was one of a kind, she smiled a lot. The main reason she was employed as the company's secretary.

"He is looking too serious compared to yesterday, I wonder what the problem is" Judy said to herself while she was still standing. Have a seat Miss. Judy. Thank you sir, she smiled.

Did Gabby tell you anything? He asked. No sir, she did not. I see; well, since you are fresh from the University with no prior experience, you will be working with us as an intern.

An intern? Judy's facial expression changed. Yes, but for a month or two depending on your performance and so you can master the art of being a productive marketing officer. Okay sir, she replied. And don't worry, your salary is the same. Thank you sir, she faked a smile.

Who could be calling me at this time? He picked up the phone and realized it was his mum calling. He picked up; " hello mum, okay I will be there soon", and he ended the call. Mum, you will never stop, he smiled and shook his head.

Judy told Gabby exactly what Mr. Edwards said. Oh, it is fine, I will take you to her right away. And by the way, congratulations on your new job. Thank you, Judy replied. Please follow me, let me take you to Mrs. Audrey Peters. Judy smiled, okay.

As they walked to Mrs. Audrey's office, she looked at the interiors of the company and discovered that it was a beautiful place with incredible finishing. The boss has good taste and class, she reasoned in her heart.

They got to Mrs. Audrey's office and Gabrielle knocked at the door. "Who is there"? They heard a sonorous female voice, it's Gabby ma'am. Oh Gabby, come on in. Judy didn't know what to expect but she kept her cool.

Gabrielle pulled on the knob on the door and went inside while Judy followed. Good morning ma'am, she saluted and Judy also greeted her. Hello, she said with a smile. "She seems nice," Gabby imagined.

She also looked like a woman in her mid 30's, she was dark in complextion and very beautiful. "How can a woman be this beautiful and courteous at the same time"? Gabby reasoned. She must be an Angel, she concluded.

Oh, miss Gabby, Mr. Edwards called to inform me that we have a new intern that will be functioning in the marketing department. Yes ma, that is actually why I am here. This is our new intern ma'am. Oh, what a beauty, have your seat miss. She said trying to remember her name, ...Judy ma, My name is Judy Gilbert, she replied. Let me allow the both of you, Gabby said. "Okay, thank you so much" Mrs. Peters affirmed. "Take care Judy", Gabrielle smiled and Judith smiled back

Oh Judy, welcome to Whiteberg resources. I am Audrey, the marketing executive officer. I hope we can work as a team and make things better.
