Joshua’s POV:
I noticed as Harper started to wake up. As soon as she noticed that Leo was holding her hand, she pushed away from him. He looked distressed and hurt. He looked at his empty hand as if she was still there, I saw the pain in his eyes and I never wanted to experience that. Harper got up and stumbled toward me, she was frantic.
“How is she? Is she okay? This is all my fault, Alpha Joshua, can you forgive me?”
I looked at her and then Leo jumped up and answered her “This is not your fault, you almost died yourself”. I saw the shock on her face.
“Leo is right Harper, this is not your fault, It’s mine. I should have foreseen that b***h's treachery.”
I felt Emma start to stir in my arms. I was flooded with relief. “My god Emma, can you hear me?”
She slowly opened her eyes.
