The white domain, once flawless and absolute, began to ripple as thin cracks stretched outward from Azrael’s position. They were not physical lines, not something that could be touched, but distortions in definition itself, places where the rules holding the space together no longer aligned.
Azrael stood at the center of it, breathing steady, eyes sharp.
“…Yeah,” he murmured.
“That’s more like it.”
The void within him stirred in controlled pulses, no longer wild or unstable. The system responded alongside it, not suppressing, not resisting, but adjusting, shifting with his intent.
