Cries sound around the infirmary and I wonder why Remus wants me to be here. I don"t spend much time with him while he"s healing people, it isn"t my thing. But he wants me here, so here I am.
"Ashryn, will you grab that towel?" he calls, directing me towards a pile of the things.
Not knowing what else to do, I grab one and head over in his direction.
A woman screams into the air and it takes me another moment to realise what"s happening here.
"Remus…"
"I need you to talk to her. Reassure her it"s going to be okay."
I grimace. I"ve never been around someone giving birth before and I"m in no hurry to change that. Except Remus seems to have other ideas if the current view in front of me is anything to go by. I"m not even sure what the point of me being here is.
