4 If this were the last time I’d been here, then I’d have been holding Bram’s hand by now. Wow, that’s a weird thought. “You okay, Ashryn?” Remus asks, concern coming through in his tone. “Yep, just peachy.” I try to fake some cheeriness, but the glancing look he gives me says it all. He’s not convinced at all. “You can talk to me,” he prods. “I know.” “But you’re not going to?” “I don’t know what to say, if I’m honest.” And it’s true. I don’t.
