8 A sharp sweet tang rouses me from the blackness. I peel my eyes open, feeling the ache within them. Well, within every part of my body really. I shouldn’t be awake again. Not judging by the sticky feeling of congealing blood against my skin. Hmm. I’ve probably been out half an hour at most. Not long enough for the worst of my wounds to completely stop bleeding, but long enough it’s not pouring out of me anymore. Which is a start. “I see you’re coming around,” Ravi’s voice breaks through the haze more. I snarl, snapping my eyes open and baring my fangs to him. The noise coming from me isn’t one I’m familiar with. “That worked even better than I’d planned,” he adds. I c**k my head to the side, studying him and trying to work out what he’s done. And what’s causing the sweet tangy smell
