Chapter 8 Drunken

Bit by bit, little by little, the effect of drink had a turn of me, unexplainably I nudged Liam from the boulder we were both seated on- but he pulled me down as well.

"Urgh!"

I feel like a log, as we both face each other, he wears a smile removing a strain of hair from my lips, smurfing my lipstick.

"Beautiful! You have such beautiful eyes, do you know that?".

I heard him talk and noticed he also was under the influence of the drink we just had, somehow it felt like the whole came to a standstill, everyone around there stopped walking and it was left just the two of us, in each other's arms.

Liam had the most beautiful eyes, his hands were soft like that of a baby, we lost gazed at each other when the rest of the family walked in on us, "is that Liam?"?

Tatiana sewed Mike's eyes over and before he could reckon what was going on, she tries to stump out to meet us, by Mike pulls her back.

"Hold on, firefighter and where do you think you're going".

She turns and shoots an angry look at him, before retorting back, "are you seriously asking me that? Can't you see Liam and the so call nanny staring at each other?".

Mike lets out a frustrated moan and dragged her away over to a secluded spot, he says; look I know how you feel okay but trust me going over there right now will spark a heated conversation between you both, so I advise you to hold on and let me handle it".

Tatiana veered and still caught us in the same position, she contemplated recouping her eyes back, "fine Mike, handle it and make sure to get rid of Sara from Liam's life before she makes him fall in love with her!".

"Yes I promise"

Mike made a promise to her, she Veered back and left from there lawing Mike alone. He watched us for a while before leaving as well.

Meanwhile, Liam rested my head on his shoulders, as we lay down on the sand, I could hear the beat of his heart, it went beep, beep, beep, a melodious tune to my ears.

An hour later, he walked me over to my room, "good night Sara" he pulls me closer and left a kiss on my lips.

My eyes broadened, I gawked as he wandered into his room, ignorant to the fact mike viewed us from his.

In return I locked the door of my room, my heart kept beating so fast, swiftly I waddled and hopped on the bed like a kid. "Ahh!" Happy was the look on my face, I couldn't be happier with the outcome of today's outing, as I hopped down and tucked myself to bed.

The following morning, the sound of my alarm beeped me up from bed, I stretched my arms and turned to saw mike sleeping soundly and with bear shirted.

"What! What are you doing here, how the hell?".

In a state of shock I nudge the blank away and saw Me naked, as well as him, he gets up from the bed and noted the scared look on my face,

"oh my! Miss Sara good morning, why do you have such a shocking look on her face, is everything okay?".

I whirled and saw the pleased look on his face, he moved closer, rephrasing my steps back.

"Get away from me! What...are..you..doing.here?". I sputtered out as he strongly dragged me close.

I struggled to get away from him, but Mike locked my hands behind me, he poked my head forward when the situation got out of hand.

"Sara! What's going on here?".

Liam walked in and saw us both in a compromising manner, Mike tugged me into Liam's arms.

I was so embarrassed I couldn't look at him, he (Liam) crammed up the space between them, furiously eyeing his brother.

Mike took a step back and said, " what brother, don't tell me you don't understand what's going on here? Sara and I had a loving night together, damn! She's so sweet, I couldn't get a hold of myself, I might come for more tonight".? He shoots a devious smile at me but widened his eyes when I am slapped him.

"How dare you? How can you be so stupid to do such a thing!".? Liam felt disgusted by his brother's behavior rather mike felt no remorse for what he did.

" really! I did something stupid? Don't tell me, brother, you're jealous because I can see the jealousy in her eyes, and do not forget your girlfriend is here with you then why are you getting defensive over her, perhaps!".? Mike fell deep in thought trying to cook up a story in his head, but instead, Liam held him by his hands and shoved me out of the room.

"Liam, open this door right now, you cannot humiliate your brother because of a silly nanny".

So aggravated by it, mike refused to stop shouting, his constant yelling attained everyone's attention, also Tatiana rushed out of her room to see what was going on.

" mike, what going on, and why are you half-naked?".

He whirled and explained everything, she screeched out and sworn to make me pay for the humiliation.

While they both talked and hashed up a strategy against me, Liam walked over and covered me with the blanket on the floor.

"I don't need to ask if you're okay because I am certain that you're not, but I apologize for the misbehavior of my stupid younger brother".

It immediately left up to my gaze the second I heard him apologize for a crime he didn't commit, swiftly he walks me to the bathroom and motioned I go in and take my bath, and he's right, maybe I might calm down and try to recollect what happened last night.

I thought he might have left the room, I walked back out and saw him seated on the couch with his faces pinned down.

"Liam?". I called out to him as he recoups his attention over to me, "how are you feeling now! Hope you okay?". He inquired as I replied with a weak smile on my face.

While he tries to make me feel better, a call came through and it sounded urgent, he lifted his eyes and thought it wise if it would be okay to leave me alone.

"It's fine, you can go, I'll be fine?"? I said though he thought otherwise, "come with me, remember I said I needed your help that why I bought you here?".? He idlis for my response, and after much consideration, I jerked my head and left after him.

We strolled into the conference room held at the hotel, the whole room was filled with business partners of Liam's, they all swirled at took notice of us ambling further.

"Good morning Mr. Liam?".

An elderly man warmly greeted him, they both chatted for a while before leaving to meet the rest of the business partners in the room.

I viewed quietly and watched him talk business with them, he veered and asked me to the seat next to him, which got Mike aggrieved, he angrily leaves the conference room.

"Don't mind him, everyone, you all know my brother!".

He (Liam) asserted with a smile, assuring me that nothing of any sort will happen.
