The Independent Electoral Commission , the body in charge of the electoral process in the Republic of Nyake , was constituted of seven executive commissioners and the Secretariat . It was led by a chairperson appointed from among the commissioners . The whole process of elections from the registration of voters , maintenance of the voters' register , delimitation of electoral boundaries , preparation and administration of ballot papers , clearance and verification of contestants to the counting of votes and announcement of results thereof was its sole responsibility .
