A planted forest of eucalyptus and cypress surrounded the family of Dr . Aden Mohammed . The freshness of the mid-afternoon was in sharp contrast to what prevailed in the city . The scented flowers of many species of plants added an aromatic feeling to the senses . Had it been a different occasion , many people could have preferred sitting among the trees , inhaling and exhaling the blissful air . However , the multitude making the procession through the forest had their luxurious senses numbed to the core because of what they were bearing . As the dirgies were sung , punctuated by the footsteps of the pallbearers , many found it hard to have the pleasure of exploring the surroundings .
