“Care to tell me what’s going on?” I ask Jason as soon as we are in my library and I am behind my desk. Cassius occupies the chair across from me and looks at the Wolf.
Jason lifts his palms in surrender, taking the seat to the right. “Whoa, whoa! Believe me, I had no idea until recently.”
“Alayna said the same, but that’s it? It’s just a coincidence?” I ask suspiciously.
“Exactly. Like a fluke.”
“A damn twisted coincidence,” Cassius comments. “How did you find this out?”
“From the twins,” I say. “They were looking further at her connection with Annette and found this instead. I spoke to them in the office, and I can’t f*****g believe it.” I’m still having a hard time processing it all.
