Chapter four: A sudden interruption

Kyle strode into the café, his eyes scanning the room with a sense of disdain. He spotted the manager, a harried-looking man with a name tag that read "Michael," and made his way over to him.

"I want the café cleared out," Kyle said, his voice low and commanding. "I'll pay you whatever it takes."

Michael's eyes widened in surprise, but he quickly regained his composure. "I'm afraid that's not possible, sir," he said. "We have a lot of customers who are in the middle of their meals."

Kyle smiled, a cold, calculating smile. "I'm willing to make it worth your while," he said, pulling out a briefcase full of cash. "Ten million dollars. That should cover the costs of closing down the café for the day."

Michael's eyes nearly popped out of his head as he stared at the briefcase. "Ten million dollars?" he whispered, his voice trembling with excitement. "Sir, this is...this is more than enough to cover the costs."

Kyle nodded, his eyes glinting with amusement. "I want the café cleared out, and I want it done now. Can I trust that you'll take care of it?"

Mike nodded eagerly, still looking dazed. "Y-yes, sir. Right away, sir."

As the manager began to usher the customers out, Kyle's eyes met those of a curly-haired girl. She looked taken aback, her eyes flashing with annoyance. Kyle felt a spark of amusement at her reaction, and he couldn't help but wonder what she'd be like when riled up.

"Hey, what's going on?" one of the girls, a petite blonde, demanded. "We were just grabbing a coffee before our orientation!"

Kyle smiled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "I'm afraid I've rented out the café for the day. You'll have to find another spot to grab your coffee."

The blonde girl, Bella, threw a fuss, but Kyle just chuckled and handed the manager the briefcase. As the customers filed out, Kyle's eyes lingered on the curly-haired girl, Sage. He felt an inexplicable pull towards her, a sense that their paths would cross again soon.
