Episode 10

I walked over and joined Rufus as they were all setting up a bonfire to celebrate their victory. "Do you guys need any help?" I said to Rufus's brother. They responded in unison, "No we've got this, my lady." They glared at each other while speaking in unison and I couldn't help but laugh at them. They soon joined me and we all shared a laugh. Afterward, I looked at Rufus and asked, "I heard you call for me. Did you need anything?" Rufus smiled and said, "I just wanted to get you away from my mother before she said something embarrassing about the three of us. She didn't, did she?" His question got both of his brother's attention as they both stopped what they were doing and looked up at me. I chuckled and said, "No she didn't. She just answered a question I asked her." They all breathed a sigh of relief before Eros asked, " What did you ask her?" They stiffened back up again. I replied, "Will you guys relax?! All I asked her was how she had three dragon sons when she and Axel were both humans. What's so bad about that?!" They all looked at me with wide eyes and I immediately regretted my outburst when I realized they weren't the only ones staring at me. I immediately blushed out of embarrassment and squatted down to the ground while hiding my face behind my hands. Suddenly, the boys started laughing. I looked at them with narrowed eyes and said, "What?! What could you guys possibly find so funny right now?!" Eros held out his hand to me which I took and he pulled up off the dirt. Then, I stepped back with my scowl still on my face and crossed my arms to show them I was serious. They slowly stopped laughing and Rufus said, "We're sorry. We didn't mean any harm when we started laughing. We just couldn't help it when we saw the look on your face after your outburst." I grumbled and turned my back to them. Unbeknownst to me, the boys were playfully sneaking up behind me while I was pouting. Right when they were a few inches from me, they nodded at each other before yelling, "Boo!" I screamed and jumped in fright. However, instead of only moving a few inches away, I leaped fifty feet away from where I had been standing just a few seconds ago. I was standing on the roof of a building in the village and couldn't help the panic that was starting to set in. I saw the boys summon their wings and start to fly toward me. I sat down on the roof and pulled my knees together to try to figure out how I had jumped so far away. When the boys landed, they rushed toward me to see if I was injured. Rufus knelt beside me and asked softly, "Are you alright, Lucifera?" Something snapped inside me and screamed, "Do I look alright to you three?! I just jumped fifty feet away due to you guys scaring me! How the f**k did that happen?!" After I finished screaming, I looked at the boys and saw that they had their heads hung down. I knew that it wasn't their fault and I immediately felt bad for yelling at them. I looked at them and said softly, "I'm sorry, guys. I'm just really confused as to what is happening to me and I took out on you guys when I shouldn't have. Can you forgive me?" I bowed my head to show them how sorry I was. I heard them gasp and Rufus immediately helped me stand up before saying, "We accept your apology, but never bow your head to us! Ever again!" I looked at him confused and heard him curse under his breath. Eros and Dante put a hand on his shoulder and shook their heads. I was so confused and demanded, "Tell me now!" Rufus locked eyes with his brothers, who groaned. Eros said, "You might as well tell her. She's not going to give up after all of us have let it slip once." Dante chimed in, "I hate to agree with Eros, but he's right. Just tell her." Rufus sighed and ran a hand through his hair before saying, " You're the Dragon Princess and also the first Celestial born since 100,000 years ago."
