The scent of toast coming from the kitchen downstairs woke Ronna up she had a quick shower then descended the stairs. Smiling, she looked at her brother all dressed up casually and making the toast. For someone who had never had much to do with kitchens, he sure was picking up though at a slower rate.
“Coffee?”
She heard him call to her. Another surprising trait. How did he hear her come down the stairs? She had moved quietly and since she was barefoot, she couldn’t tell how he managed to know that she was standing right behind him.
Pouring coffee into the two mugs, he smiled as though reading her thoughts but declined to comment.
“Good morning and yes. Lots of coffee.”
