Chapter Fifty-One: There Is No Love Here
Phoenix took two steps closer to Athena, his mind still processing her words. She's still in disbelief that she's willing to go that far for children who are not even hers.
Athena attempted to step back, but his arms reaching around her waist stopped her from doing so. He pulled her close to him, and she whined when he squeezed her cheek.
"Do you even hear what you're saying?! You are willing to go back to that son of a b***h who abused you?! You sound like a fool, Athena!"
