Chapter Fifty-five: Telling the Truth
The next day, Mary exited the restroom and went back to the garden, where she left Liam. She heard children shouting something and saw Liam on the ground while they were pointing at him.
"You're stupid!"
Mary felt angry, and she searched for something. Her eyes found a broom, and she used it.
"Let him be! You are all mean!"
"Shut up, stupid!"
Mary used the broom to hit the bully in the head, and they tried to take it from her, but she didn't let them. She only hit them harder.
The kids screamed and ran away.
"We're going to tell on you!" One of them warned Mary.
"Do it, cowards!" Mary screamed after them and looked at Liam. "There, little brother, I defended you from the bullies!" She added with a proud look on her face.
Liam stared at her
