Chapter Sixty: On the Edge of Madness
The next morning, Athena and Phoenix took the kids to walk around the forest.
"I'm tired, dude!" Ada exclaimed and panted.
"Oh no, you aren't. Didn't you say you wanted to be a model? Well, models should always look pretty, so they exercise. So come on and let's continue!"
Ada and Emily looked at each other with dismay in their eyes, but they obeyed anyway.
"Will you really pay for a modeling course for us?" Emily asked Phoenix.
"If you behave, yes."
The girls squealed and high-fived before walking again, and Phoenix stopped.
"Do not go too far," he told them, looking at Athena. "What? Are you tired already?" He teased her with a laugh.
Athena glared at him. "Everything hurts, and it's your fault!"
"If you want, I can give it to you harder."
