Chapter Twelve: Trying to Escape
Brooke kneeled in front of Phoenix in front of everyone, while Athena was stunned and unsure what to do or say. Even the judge just stood there, watching the scene before him with a confused frown.
"Will we continue the ceremony?" he asked in uncertainty.
"Yes, sir," Phoenix answered, and his sharp eyes glared at Brooke. "Enough, Brooke. Stand up and leave!" He ordered the woman like a dog.
"You will get rid of me for her?" Brooke asked, sending Athena a dirty look.
The woman stood up and glared hatefully at Phoenix before he dragged her outside. Athena blinked before deciding to follow them, and Elon watched the scene with a sick smile on his face.
