Chapter Nineteen: Very Sweet
Athena felt a hand on her shoulder and saw Phoenix when she turned.
"Are you crying because of your ex-husband? Do you miss him that much?" Phoenix taunted Athena, but there was an unknown emotion in his eyes.
"They are not your children, and you better keep that in mind. This is your new life as my wife and as Mary's mother," Phoenix said firmly, now standing before her. "Do not leave my side ever again."
Athena did not say a word because things aren't that easy. Better said than done, like they say.
The two went back to the cabin, and Mary asked for their permission to sleep with her classmates, to which they agreed.
