Chapter Twenty-One: I Wish You Were Here
Athena has her head lowered as she nervously peeks at the man beside her.
"Are you angry?"
Phoenix didn't answer, his face blank and lips pressed tightly together. He's driving while Mary silently watches a cartoon on her tablet at the back.
"How could you drag that woman across the land even to the point of you throwing her at the lake? What kind of example is that to my daughter?" Phoenix said in disappointment after a while.
"Daddy, don't scold mommy anymore!" Mary stopped her dad even when she was preoccupied.
Phoenix went silent. It was already night, and she slumped when she remembered how they expelled Mary because of her.
"Okay. Why don't you look at the positive side?"
He looked at her from the corner of his eyes. "And what is that?
