EVELYN – DECEMBER 1931
What was supposed to be temporary accommodations at the Lutheran Seminary dragged into another year. During the first few weeks there, Evelyn had learned that the building to which they'd been taken had been used to house young men preparing to be ministers. She had not known that other religions had seminaries. Of course, she didn't know much about other religions, but she knew about seminaries and seminarians. All of the children prayed for them during evening prayer every day. Sister Honora had told them all how important it was to pray for the men who were going to become leaders in the church.
