As the plane landed in Barcelona, Ruth found herself worried. She hadn’t seen Alaistar since the Halloween party, and he rarely went that long without showing up or calling. He hadn’t picked up any calls either. The only thing he had done was send a text message to tell her he would meet her in Barcelona when she arrived. She boarded the plane with Ingrid and Hannah thinking about Alaistar. Once they arrived at their seats, she asked Ingrid if she knew anything. “No, but I suspect it will make sense, as always” she said, confidently.
