Something didn’t feel right. Aria had been under the impression that she was supposed to be able to connect with her wolf when we got here, but so far... nothing. It occurred to me more than once over the course of this little journey that this could all be a ploy to get us right where the witches wanted us - to a secret location, hidden from our allies and vulnerable. If a fairy was capable of planting dreams, who is to say that a witch couldn’t do the same? I wanted to trust my little mate, I truly did, but as much as it sounds like a cliche line my father might have said in my youth, it was everyone else that I didn’t trust.
