I stood watching out the window for long after my evil aunts had disappeared with my best friend in tow. I’d considered going after them, but what could I have done? It’s not like I could even communicate with my wolf, let alone shift. I’d only be putting myself in danger... and everyone I cared about, too. If the witches decided to use their power over me again, what could I do to stop them... to stop... me? I had planned to use their time away to talk with Jess again, figure out how to free her, maybe even work together to stop Eleanor and Teresa, but that was obviously out of the question.
