... One Week Later ...
I hate to admit it, but I was nervous walking into today’s Alliance meeting. Honestly, I hadn’t thought of the girl much since the rocks - a side effect, I suppose, of never having been bonded to her in the first place. She soon faded into the background like any of my other conquests, albeit one that took quite a bit of effort for very little payout. As I drove through town, though, I wondered what it would be like to see her again - would I be drawn to her like I once was? Feel nothing? How does one behave in such a situation? My thoughts were interrupted by a jab in the ribs.
