A Week Later:
"I am fine, Go away" I dismissed Bianca who was glancing at me from time to time, nervously. She looked between me and everyone. Vivian, Brad, Matt, Bianca, and Elizabeth were surrounding me in the lunchroom. Yes, I was in the hospital for a week after my nervous breakdown and the severe panic attack in the school kitchen. I stayed at the hospital because of my therapist as he said I needed extreme care so all of them visited me there even Vivian tried to stay with me which I refused politely, she already had done enough. Last night, I discharged from the hospital and the very next day I was in school with bloodshot eyes.
"Are you sure, Vi?" Bianca voiced out her fears. I lowered my sunglasses with my pointer finger and looked at her dangerously.
"If you are making sure that I won't break down in this Goddamn room then yes Bianca Lewis, I am sure," I said through gritted teeth then adjusted my sunglasses to cover my red and sore eyes. Nobody was telling me anything as they kept pushing my questions about past to later conversation that irritated me so I ended up crying the night out and against their will, I was present in school.
"What is this behavior?" Brad muttered from the side. They were standing around my chair during Lunch. I glared at him through googles.
"I am starting to doubt, Is this even real? or was it also planned just to make me never remember anything" I waved my hand around to Bianca, Matt, Elizabeth, and him I started having second thoughts about them. Abraham didn't help me either when he came to visit me, all he did was looking at me talking, Baffled, yelling at him to tell me about my past but he had a disappointed look on hid face all that time. Then left without a word, it had been a week and I didn't hear from him anything. Nobody was telling and It was frustrating!
"I know it's frustrating but give it a little time and everything will be fine" Elizabeth sat down in front of me. "You guys go, I am planning on skipping this class" she assured them as the bell rang. They left except Matt but I didn't lookup.
"I'll be one call away" he whispered kissing my hairs and left when warning bell rang. The students rushed out leaving us alone, the chef warned us about our report to the principal but Mom was the last thing I wanted to think.
"It has happened to me when I was little" I looked up to see Elizabeth looking out through the window where there were children playing. The school was from Primary to High school so it was primary lunchtime. There were a couple of children sitting under a large tree sharing their lunch boxes. "We were five siblings, I was 3rd. Jane and Philip were twins and older than me, we shared a pretty good time together as compared to younger ones." We were in some kinda spell as we kept looking at five of them. I wanted to hear her escape that nightmare I was living in."Janis and William were younger twins, I was alone and I hate that about me because I couldn't have the chance to experience Telepathy s**t" she chuckled remembering something. I turned my head to her, taking off glasses. She had humidity in her eyes.
"My mother used to say that I am special. Philip was my best friend because my mother told me when I was born they were 2 but he used to take care of me every night when I developed Asthma from the birth." she smiled revealing her dimples, I never noticed that before. "We were high class because my father was head of 'The Circle', Henry Winston, that means we had enemies too but our mother, Margret, she was Iron lady for us. We faced pretty harsh things in our life when someone betrayed my father. When it all settled, we went to celebrate Janis and William's fifth birthday to our Farmhouse, might I add, Mansion. That night, I was out with Philip for fishing in the nearby lake we returned to a devastated home. Philip hid me in annex far from our house, I was 10 and he was 13 then, I remember his last words 'They are alive I have to help Lizzy. I love you millions, minion' and he ran to half burning house and the house blasted just when he got in. I saw that scene with my bare eyes when his body flew out with him on fire." There was a pregnant pause where I was looking at her and she was looking at kids. I placed my hand on hers to sympathize with her, she seemed knocked out of thoughts as she quickly wiped her tears and put on a sad smile.
"I ran away for help and drowned in the same lake where we went fishing." She sniffled before continuing. " I was out for 7 days but when I opened my eyes I was in a small village, they say the old lady found me on the bank of the nearby river. Maybe I floated there or something." she shrugged like it didn't matter. "I remember nothing except fire and Philip, previous two incidents. The old lady took me in, she was a babysitter of some rich kids so when I was 15 we moved to this city to live permanently with them. But on my way here, my uncle, miraculously, found me and adopted me saying I was his blood and all that s**t. Gammy let me out saying I needed a family to remember my past" she wiped out some other stray tears.
"The point is Vi that you have a family by your side at the end of the day. I tried many therapists but they couldn't help because my own uncle and Aunt are not trying. They took over my father's companies and mother's libraries because, in the eye of legal papers, I am dead with them too. And I don't care about materialistic things either, it's just a family album, I found in the attic, is all I care about because I don't remember anyone's faces except Philip. This is what an accident does to you, accept your present and move on instead of troubling your near ones because of your past." She finished just in time when the bell rang.
"But Abraham, there is more to him then I think" I reasoned out remembering the reason for my nervous breakdown. He was saying something about loving me and wanted me to remember him. She picked up her phone and journal before standing up.
"That handsome hunk, huh?" she winked at me teasingly, I rolled my eyes but nodded. "Confront him but without knowledge of your mother. Last time she was pretty harsh with him in the hospital" she slung her bag over her shoulder making her ponytail swing over her shoulder.
"But he only came... once?" I looked at her confused. She chuckled leaning close to whisper.
"He came every night to see you but your mother didn't let him, so he used to wait all night outside your room and left in the morning. He is pretty much into you, don't lose him" she straightened up and was about to leave when I held her hand.
"Elizabeth, thank you" I muttered caressingly. She uplifted the mood by patting my shoulder.
"Anytime, and call me Lizz" She sprinted out of lunchroom yelling behind her back. "I am sorry but I have to make it on time before the warning bell." I chuckled standing up from my chair too, deciding to attend my class.
"Violet, how are you doing?" Mr. Tomlinson blocked my way to the lockers as the bell rang. I smiled tucking a piece of hair behind my ear, shyly.
"It's fine. I am sorry that I couldn't participate in Webcom and brought shame to both you and Mr. +++ We couldn't bring it back to us this year, I really am sorry" I couldn't meet his eyes because they both were so excited about it and I embarrassed them with their mean lead's absence.
"Oh, don't be silly Violet. We were more concerned about you. We can nail other competitions, health is important" He patted my shoulder and pushed passed me to continue his journey to Staffroom. Just when I was about to move to the lockers' two girls blocked my way. What's with girls and their actions. I rolled my eyes annoyed and raised one brow in question.
