7 The copy set in a neat pile on Hal Preston’s desk by 8:45 Tuesday morning. Bev was in her temporary office working on her version of last night’s fire and her historical fire piece, she thought she may be able to tie the two together in a special interest feature if Hal thought it would be newsworthy. The front door of the paper opened and closed without any ceremony in the reception area other than a muffled good morning. It was Hal. He peeked in the door of her office and grinned. “Some weekend huh?” He was obviously happy there was some “real” news to report this week. “Yes, very exciting.
