Lily's POV I sat down there, in complete silence, diving deeper in my thoughts until I heard a soft voice that snapped me out of my thoughts. “…I’m sorry again about mother” he said to me I let out a breath I didn’t know I’d been holding. “You weren’t the one planning flower arrangements in your head.” I said with a side smile He huffed a small laugh, rubbing the back of his neck. “She means well. She… gets excited.” “That’s one way to put it,” I muttered. He didn't say anything after that. Dante leaned forward, elbows on his knees, staring at the floor as though a solution might magically appear in the grain of the hardwood. “We need a plan,” he said. “Yes,” I agreed immediately. “Before I’m marched to an altar next week.” He shot me a sideways look. “It wouldn’t be next week.”
