Chapter5

DANA “Angel?” Is that what he said? I heard him loud and clear. I blinked twice staring at the awestruck face of his, he possibly couldn’t take his eyes off me. I know he wouldn’t. Not when I’m this beautiful. No man can resist me, that has always been my secret charm from childhood. I don’t know if it’s just the eyes or the snicker at the side of his mouth but it made my head sway, it made my lips twitch, my n*****s began to pucker in my chest. He’s an immature sexy man. He knows how to pick his words, at least he’s better than all the men I’ve met. But then again, isn’t he objectifying me? I frowned immediately as that thought seeped into my head, I headed towards a seat and plopped down into it before his hand brush against mine causing my adrenaline to rise, My eyes caught his in a moment, my breath cut in my throat as those eyes held me into a trance, why are they so beautiful? And why are they so warm, his eyes sweep over me with a sense of…need. Yeah, what I feel in his eyes should be NEED and that caused my cheeks to flush. I’ve never seen a man’s eyes so desperate like his before. He chucked a spoon into my hand, “Here eat,” he said softly before he attended to his phone which made a whirring sound, I swallowed hard bringing my gaze to the soup. What the heck am I doing in a strange rich man’s house? Wearing his clothes and about to eat his soup!? Wow! I can’t believe I’m growing wings. Oh Dana, you’ve got no morals. Finally, you’re admitting to the fact that your mom failed to raise you so well on her own. I touched the plate and shook watching as the soup danced inside of it, did he put anything inside this soup? Like poison? My heart skipped. What if he poisoned this soup in order to drug me and sell me off? That’s what Alpha Jordan did to his mate in the book SOLD LUNA. What if he wants to do the same thing to me? Oh my God, I’m not going to eat this soup, I’m not hungry. I dropped the spoon noiselessly beside the plate and looked up to see him watching me intently, a sneer by the side of his mouth. I frowned, causing him to crack up into a wild laugh. “Oh my! I’ve never seen a lady as hilarious as you.” He said amidst laughter wiping a tear off his eye. What’s so funny to make him laugh so hard like that? Speak of an immature man. “So you really think I am trying to poison you?” He asked with a jerky smirk which got my cheeks flushing immediately, “Oh dear, I didn’t poison that, I can taste it for you if you want, you just seemed very troubled back there at the party, I was worried you may have nightmares, that’s why I whipped up something nice like this for you,” he explained nicely while I nodded. “But you seem to be pretty nice on beautiful women,” I blurted out without giving it much thought as I took up the spoon, “Beautiful women?” He rolled the words in his tongue before throwing it back to my face, “You think? I was just saving you Angel,” And here he goes again with the weird name calling. “My name is not Angel, my name is Dana,” “Angel suits you much better, you don’t tell me what to call you, do you like the soup?” I snorted stuffing my mouth with soup, it’s so goddamn delicious but I am never going to admit that to him, “Just there, I could do better,” I said with a slight shrug, “Your face says it’s so delicious,” he replied reaching for the packet of wet wipes sitting at the center of the table, he pulled out one, “Maybe eating more gently would suit you so well,” He said and reached out, dabbing a corner of my lips with the wipes, the friction of his finger touching my lip skin was very lethal, I paused and swallowed down the liquid in my mouth bringing my eyes to his face. “Eat more gently,” he breathed out, smiling warmly. What’s his deal? Why is my heart beating so fast, in a different fast paced rhythm? He pulled away and I struggled to relax. I feel so hot, my body is burning up again, “Your cheeks are so red,” he admitted and that was so embarrassing. Why am I getting all fired up over a little touch? I hate this. I hate this place. This soup! I flickered my eyes to his face and held him in an annoying gaze, I hate him. His guts! He’s a very dangerous snake! I need to get away from here, I sprang up from my seat, “I think I will have to charge my phone and head home, my mom is waiting for me,” “Oh really?” He said but that felt like he was mocking me, bastard! “I will get you a charger,” he stood up before turning to cast his eyes on me again. The feel of his eyes on me was melting, it made my legs quiver, made the hair on my skin to stand, I could feel my own hot breath, what’s going on? He advanced towards me and I felt like melting into his arms, I wanted him to hold me as long as he wanted. He should never stop looking at me with those eyes, His palm curled around my neck and my mouth fell open, my eyes rolled into my head as I let out a sharp piercing moan which caused some liquid to rush through my legs. “Goddamn it!” he screamed.
