Chapter-20

According to Siya,

After studying for a long time in the classroom, my stomach was demanding food. I looked at Rajesh sitting next to me and asked.

" Aren't you hungry? To be honest, I like it a lot. “Will you come with me to the canteen?”

Rajesh said raising both his shoulders.

" Why seek the permission of one you are doing a good turn to. By the way, I am also hungry, let's go together."

We both left for the canteen where I met Lena who was probably standing there waiting for me, I was feeling the same.

" Hey Skelly, do you know how long I've been waiting for you? Come on, it doesn't matter if it's late, it's better."

I had already told her what I wanted to say in the morning and I didn't want to say anything more to her. I remembered what Rajesh had told me some time ago and wondered if he might have misinterpreted my words. I was fond of studying in college and now learning designing, I did not want to have enmity with anyone.

" Leena, understand my point, I had no intention to hurt you."

";No, my dear girl, I didn't think at all that you wanted to hurt me."

I was really very hungry and at this point I didn't want to argue with her any further. I said ignoring her.

" We have to go to the canteen so please excuse us."

I passed through Leena's side and Rajesh also followed me. I saw that Leena did not stop me, she was just looking at me and smiling. His smiling seemed strange to me but ignoring het, I went to the canteen with Rajesh.

After going to the canteen, I was going to get a big shock which I had not imagined at the time. There was a board outside the canteen on which my face was drawn and below my name it was written that Siya is not allowed here.

What nonsense is this? Can the college administration stop anyone from coming to the canteen? When I raised questions on this, I was told something which surprised me.

" You come to the canteen and fight and because of you an innocent child fell ill and now he will not be allowed to come to college for three days. And until he comes to college, you too cannot come inside the canteen."

I had never heard such nonsense before but I could not do anything. Not even a week had passed since I came to college and all this was happening to me. I was hungry and my mind always gets disturbed due to hunger, so I drank a lot of water to keep my mind calm.

I asked Rajesh to go to the canteen and have breakfast but he refused. He said that he had come with me to the canteen and if I was not allowed to go, he would also not have breakfast. Really Rajesh deserves to be a good friend and after that we came back to the class room.

Even today there was no class on designing, there were only a few subjects which had to be studied. It was good that there was no designing class today because due to hunger I was not able to concentrate in the class. From now on I had decided that from tomorrow onwards I will bring tiffin with me so that I can eat it even while sitting in the class room.

I remember when I was in school, I used to eat in the class room with a tiffin like this because our school was quite far from my house. I was just waiting for the class to end and as soon as the class ended I quickly went out.

Both Rajesh and Kala were not in the class with me, so I went alone. When I came out I saw Dev who was probably waiting for me. Just by looking at my face he recognized that something had happened to me. I told him the whole story that I was not being allowed inside the canteen. Hearing this, he offered me to eat Pani Puri outside.

Who can refuse the offer of eating Pani Puri, certainly not me. Dev took me out to eat Pani Puri where there was not much crowd. There were hardly two to four people there and looking at it it seemed as if it serves good Pani Puri or not.

Dev has been staying here since childhood and I don't think he would take me to a place to eat Pani Puri which is not a good place.

I admit that he was very eager to get me out of the house but now he has become my friend. He assured me that the pani puri there was the best pani puri in the city. I followed her advice and indeed that pani puri was the best.

I like it spicier Pani puri. Understand my point, the one who made Pani Puri also added his most special chutney in it because it was very spicy. After eating Spicy Pani Puri on an empty stomach, I felt completely satisfied.

I was worried about how I would be able to work inside the café on an empty stomach, but I had no tension now. My day went on like this and two days passed like this.

As I had thought, I started bringing tiffin with me in the morning and now I did not need a canteen. It is true that I used to eat small breakfast and there used to be samosas, burgers and many other things in the canteen, seeing which my mouth used to water.

Now I had become very good friends with Kala and Rajesh. It is certain that there was no friendship between Kala and Rajesh, they still considered each other as their competitors. But I liked the thing about both of them that if I was forbidden from going there, then both of them were also not going.

Today, after class ended, I went to the washroom because I eat very spicy food and after eating it, I needed to wash my hands. When I went to the bathroom I saw that there was no one there.

" Listen girl, this bathroom is about to be cleaned, so go to the bathroom on the second floor."

I was told by a girl who was standing outside the bathroom. Then I understood that this was the reason why I did not see anyone in the bathroom at this time. I obeyed him and went to the second floor.

I noticed that no one was visible on the second floor too but I did not pay much attention to this and went inside. When I started coming out, I saw that the bathroom door was locked from outside.

How can this happen because I did not see anyone on the second floor, then who locked the bathroom door from outside?

I tried hard to open it and even tried to call out, but I didn't think anyone was even listening to me. I looked around me where there was no one except me. I tried to shout a lot but finally I got tired of shouting but there was no one to listen to me.

The problem was that I had not even brought my bag with me. I also have a mobile phone inside the garden which I use a lot but that too was left down. Slowly time passed and darkness started spreading around.

When it got dark, I tried to turn on the bathroom light and realized that there was no light there. I was slowly getting trapped in darkness and no one was even hearing my voice. I didn't realize that my makeup had fallen unconscious due to hunger and thirst.
