"I couldn’t believe what I had just done. I looked at Ezra’s unconscious body, his disheveled white hair covering his face as he lay on the ground like a fallen tree trunk. My breathing was erratic, not because of the weight of knocking him out with a rock (thanks to Eva and this wolf strength I’m just beginning to understand), but because of what this meant. I had attacked the Alpha, the most dangerous and cold man I knew.
‘What’s wrong with you, human? Want a prize for the dumbest act of the year?’ Eva grumbled in my head, clearly unimpressed with my decision. ‘Let me guess, now you’re planning to carry him like a sack of potatoes, right?’
