    The Devil paced back and forth in his chamber wearing the cobbles beneath his cloven hooves. Several hours passed on earth since he sent the demonic mercenaries to capture his wretched offspring. Nearly three thousand years came and went since he devised his wicked plan to curse the child he fathered. In that time, she proved easy enough to control. Until she left for the Human realm, four Earth days earlier.      The curse largely succeeded. Her light magic was bound and her form altered. So long as she remained a loyal denizen of hell, he received innumerable souls to feed his power. The only failing was the loss of her memories. He seethed silently to himself. The rate of souls entering hell sharply dropped since she left. Wondering was beneath him, but he couldn't help speculating
