“Sarah? Who is she?” the chief asked while Miloni made a guess that Sarah was Arko’s girlfriend.
“She was my girlfriend but we broke up some ten months ago,” Arko explained, trying to comprehend Miloni’s expression.
“So why is she angry? Wasn’t the break-up mutual?”
“No, she was keen on commitment while I was not…” he replied, hoping that Miloni would not cut off from him after hearing about Sarah.
“Did she want marriage?” the chief inquired curiously.
While Arko wanted to end the topic, he knew he could not because of the attempted attack on him, “Yes, she proposed to me out of the blue in a party in front of everyone. I had no idea that she was going to do and I was taken aback. Moreover, I had no plans to get married. I rejected her proposal in the best possible way that I could.”
