Chapter 23: Three Visitors
“That was interesting,” Dillon says, walking side by side with Jason, seeing their rented beach house through the jungle, in the distance. “Who knew we’d be spending this week next to nudists.” He swats at flying insects around his face.
Jason hears a tight snap as Dillon hits his right palm against his right thigh. Bugs are everywhere. Too many. By the time both of them leave the island, they’ll have more bites than they’ll realize. “No worries. They’re harmless. Besides, the group over there could be worse. They could be a Neo-Nazi group…or Republicans.”
“Point made.” Dillon squeezes Jason’s hand, walking side by side with him. Shards of sunshine leap through the overhead foliage. “To tell you the truth, I’ve never seen anything like that.”
