Chapter 4.3 Why Me?

A whole unkindly magic, it was coming for me an I wasn't going to be told why after my freak out before. I had been missing for weeks but to me seemed like hours. Something was coming but it was bigger then all of us. Kendrick gave me time to process but I just wanted to get my mind off of it. I texted him an his mother telling them I was off to the mall an maybe the park after. Gracie really wanted to go for a run. I didn't want to drive so I went into the woods with a backpack placing my clothes in an giving myself a breathing talk. Vibrating in my pocket was my phone, showing that was Kendrick calling, many text messages. I wanted to answer but I needed time to myself. I put it up in my bag an I headed to the mall. Many stores to explore so I started from the bottom to the top, taking in all I could see and buying what I could. I hadn't been out all alone since the library but this was different, better, it was like I could breath the best air.

KENDRICK POV

Ams had been gone for hours, not answering her phone, she didn't take a car or anything. I sent guards to go find her. I wont lose her like last time in the library. She is not like this and this is my fault for not telling her about the library or what is coming. But telling her would be making her fully see what she truly is, fully seeing her as the hybrid, bringing all her powers together at one time to be.

They had found her at the mall where she did say she was going to be but she ended up buying from almost every store looking like she was happy to be out and she had such a innocent smile on her face like she needed today. She walked up to the room with the guards carrying more bags behind her, placing them on the bed as she started going through them. Kendrick was going at it with me for hours. It felts amazing. He was an is an animal and I love it. After the shower we went to lay down. I started watching a movie with him just to enjoy eachothers company. It felt right, I didn't care anymore about what had happened, I didn't want to lose him or lose this time with him. I just wanted to be held an loved by him in this moment. Everything else could wait, could give me a break and a chance to just forget for right now.
