Chapter 2.4. The coming

A couple hours had past as I slept. 'Hello Ameila.' a voice so faint said making me jump seeing no one in the room or outside the room door. "Who is there?" whispering. 'Please don't be scared, my name is Gracie, an I am you're spirit wolf.' I felt a smile form in the mind assuming that was her, she sounded so peaceful and kind, almost like she knew me. 'Ameila you don't have to fear me or anything, I understand this may be a lot to take in. Ask anything you would want to an I will answer away.'

"What is the point of a spirit wolf? What fully is a mate? Do you know who ours is? Why was Ashley and the pack doctor saying and thinking I was special? Were you trying to come out early? Did you know something I didn't?" So many questions were coming to my mind fasting then I was able to get them out. But she waited till I finish asking to respond. 'I am here to be your friend, to guide you through what you call supernatural world. I do not mean you or anyone harm. A mate is someone you are bound to...' She went on an on, listening an taking in everything she was saying but she avoided the questions of what we are an what to come, 'Also Happy Birthday to us Ameila, you are 17 now' smiling at hearing someone say happy birthday nearly brought me to tears but stopped when someone knocked on the door. It was Ashley. "Are you ready for tonight? I thought since you couldn't celebrate with your parents or best friend a party here would be in order" I nodded "I noticed when we put your clothes up you didn't have a dress or anything to wear, would you like to go shopping at the local mall in town here?" I smiled nodding fast, I haven't been shopping in awhile. Gracie purred making me jump a little but laughing at it, it caught Ashleys attention smiling, "I assume your wolf came to you now?" "Her name is Gracie, shes nice, I like her"

We started making our way to the mall, just me and Ashley with what looked like a few guards drifting around us like stalkers. We came up to this store, it had beautiful dressed made for prom and weddings and a few birthdays but not many. Ashley walked in holding the door for me to tell me to come on. As we entered I couldn't help but gasp, the dresses were even more beautiful then looking through glass windows. Gracie had been purring really at a few dresses that just sparkled, one of them caught my eye. Red and black sequin with an open back and not to long to fall over, it was strapless but amazing. "Go and try it on, if you like it we can buy it and go find some shoes to match with anything else you need." Frozen in place wondering how someone would go through all this trouble for me and not really knowing me just hearing what I said, but I did what she asked and feel in love with the dress, I planned on showing her but figured it would be better at the party were everyone would see for the first time. She bought it and herself one along with a tux an tie from the back that was for men.

A couple hours of shopping, we left with clothes, shoes, makeup, hair products, and anything else we needed. "Thank you Ashley, Luna Ashley I mean, it meant a lot to me, I don't know how I could ever repay you." She waved it off with a smile, "If Kendrick is your mate, just give me cute grandkids." Laughing it off as we took back off to the castle.

KENDRICK POV:

I hadn't heard from them since the day they took her home and told me she was still out. But today felt different. My wolf was in a hurry to tell me to go home, not sure why but that I had to be there. I had just gotten to school when I was mindlink but chose to call on the phone to be ' normal' "Hey Jamie what is up?" As I called, she started rambling on about how the Luna wasn't listening even if she is all powerful and how the alpha would understand if he was here and not out on a mission. "Jamie mom and dad are just stressed, dad had work an mom is just worried. But what was so important you called a hundred times?" She breathed "Ameila woke up and today is her birthday, since you think you two might be mates, I suggest you come home now, today. Skip whatever is going on, mom will make an excuse for you or I'll call an tell them you had a family emergency to go take care of. We are throwing her a party at eight tonight even though she turned 17 at noon, but it gives her time to talk with her wolf and understand. So lets go!!!" She screamed that last part and hung the phone up, sighing I left school and started the long drive back home.

I thought about stopping off at the mall or a*****e closer to home to get Ameila something, thinking she might want something from at least one person she met and knows somewhat.

A few hours into the drive, I managed to stop at a mall and found a searched through some stores. When I came across this store for jewelry and it had a beautiful wolf head with green eye necklace that I thought would look amazing on her. I bought it with a card and left to hurry to get home before the party started and Jamie or Mom uses me as a target practice for a game. The pull to be home and my wolf not shutting up, purring in my ear, telling me it would have been faster to run. After around 30 minutes I come to the gate and decide to walk up as the guards take my car to parking. Holding Ameilas gift in my, didn't even make it inside the castle when I was charged at by a colored hair, 5ft tall, skinny, green eyed she wolf named Hazel. She for a long time was my girlfriend but I had broke it off years ago, she hasn't understood that, leaving was a good thing to think of it now, but I am here for Ameila not her. I brushed her off of me and walked past her like she didn't exist, she was livid but she wasn't my mate and my wolf was roaring with rage for her touching me. Jamie had finally met me next to my room embracing me in a hug as I her. "Its good to see you sis, where is mom?" she smirked and looked to Ameils room "This should be fun" I whisper to myself as I knock on the door, "Can I come in?" patiently waiting for a response. "Yes" that voice saying yes was so sweet, I knew it hard to be Ameila. I walked in....

AMEILA POV

"Can I come in?" A voice from outside my room said while me and Luna were putting clothes and decorating to make it more myself. "Yes" I yell to the door not stopping from making my bed. I Barley looked up and was pushed onto my bed with his head in my neck. Freaked out I pushed him off and froze. Luna Ashley stood between and laughed. "Ameila its okay" She told me to calm me down. I closed my eyes and took deep breathes, that is when I smelt his scent, I relaxed. "I Im sorry." was all I could say looking down at my feet. He laughed and slowly took my hand "I didn't mean to scare you, I am the one who should be sorry, you're still new to this and it wasn't right for me to pin you like that." He told me allowing me to breath still. I looked over at Luna "He is right, the mate bond will make you do crazy things, it probably was to much for him to try to control when your scent hit his nose. But" She turned to look at Kendrick "He will do better, Right mister?" He nodded. I got up and backed up, it was to much at once, my head was spinning, the room became black, I could no longer fell the ground. I fell and passed out. "AMEILA!!!" was all I heard then nothing.
