“It sure makes arguing about it seem kinda stupid, huh?” Sometimes when Rick started his homophobic rants, I wanted just punch him. Even if I never confronted him, I now had some internal track to play while he spouted off about something he didn’t know anything about. Mr. Bridge pointed to the clock: our time was up. “So, fake it till you make it, Shane. You’re gonna be alright.” I chuckled as I got my backpack and books together.
