Chapter 13: I Am Burning with Pain

1329 Words

Mira Ashford POV I woke up in terrible pain as I opened my eyes, my body finally aware of everything happening to it. Every nerve began screaming, sending sharp warnings through me. Tears filled my eyes. What lay between my thighs burned and ached. The wound on my chest would not calm, as if knives were sliding into my body and pulling back out. I am done. I cannot move from the pain. I am dying. I need a painkiller or anything. Every part of me hurts. My face. My neck. My chest. My breasts. My stomach. Between my thighs. My legs. My bones felt broken and stiff. My muscles were locked tight. Can a girl really survive this much pain? How did I not pass out last night? How did I make it this far, shower, and not collapse with fever? The screech of the metal door cut my thoughts in half.
