A gentle low and steady blowing noise from the air conditioning had woken me up from my sleep but both of my eyes were too heavy for me to open them.Unlike earlier when I slept, nearby patients were talking to their families, conversation from nurses going in and out of the room were all heard, as well as the television.I remember the loud volume coming from it. I must’ve been too exhausted to drift into sleep although the situation near me was not favorable.
But now, there was none of that noise.
