14 Waiting Ho‘okaumaha To worry. Liz, Zader and Jay’s mom, closed her eyes as she listened to Amy, Char Siu’s mom, on the phone. “I don’t know, Amy. I haven’t been home all day. It makes sense that Charlene is with the boys, and they’re with Uncle Kahana. They’re probably stealing mangoes or exploring the ravine or rescuing a mongoose. Never know with Kahana.” Pause. “I’ll send her home when I see her. Don’t worry, they’re fine. Okay.
