It came as no surprise to me that Ava would lash out the moment she had no one to stop her. I glanced at my father, who was shocked but said and did nothing. To him, I deserved it, right? Funny of me to think he would say anything.
I rose to my feet and slapped her as hard as I could, making her stumble back, falling to the ground with her hand on her cheek. She looked at me, shocked. She should know I woke up on the wrong side of the bed today.
A lot was going on in my life and I would NOT let her worsen it with her annoying attitude. “Vivienne!” my father yelled, which quickly alerted the guards, who rushed back into the room.
