Vivienne's POV Not long after Rose left my room, a maid walked into my room with a tray of food. All the delicacies that were served at dinner were on the tray and the scent made me salivate. She bowed. “Would you need anything, my lady?” she asked. I stared at the food, then shook my head. Damn, was I tempted to devour every crumb of the food. I shook my head. “No. It's okay. I'll send for you if I need anything,” I said, and she smiled, bowed and exited the room. I swallowed, turning to the food on the table. My stomach growling with hunger. But I couldn't bring myself to eat. I pinched my cheeks, trying to find the inspiration to not have even a single bite of the food. I would eat later, maybe, dinner, but right now, certainly not.
