Meal time came quickly. I was starving, but I hated it came earlier. We had not been served yet, but my stomach was rumbling so much. Fortunately, it was not loud enough for everyone in the room to hear. Alpha Tristan gestured for the maids to serve, and they began with him.
A maid came to me and began serving, but after one big spoon, I placed my hand on hers, stopping her from proceeding any further. I was finding it hard to say the words. I doubted I could trust my tongue at such a time. The maid looked at me, shocked. I could not blame her, anyway.
I was one to take a lot of food and just stopping at one big spoon was not enough. Just staring at it was making me even more hungry. “It's just a spoon, My Lady. Are you sure it would be enough?” she asked, concerned.
