I did not expect to hear that from the guard. Kieran, the man I had sent a secret search for, was at my gate, requesting to see me. I thought he would run away from me. Was he aware of my search for him? Why was he here? And why did he want to see me?
Was he the one plotting all along to take me down? Maybe that was why I found him familiar. But even now, I did not know who he was. I doubted I had ever come across him the more I thought about it. How could I have had a fallen out with him and still do not remember how or when it happened?
