“What the hell is wrong with the way he’s speaking?” I asked Walker. “He’s from Golordia Epsilon,” Walker said as if that answered my question. “And that means…” I said. “That’s the way they talk there,” Walker said. “So, there are more people that talk like him?!” I said bewildered at the idea. “Wait hold on did you said Golordia Epsilon?” “Yes,” Walker said. “Where the hell is that?” I asked. “Its another one of the moons of Golordia Prime,” Umberto said. “You’re kidding?” I said. “You didn’t know that?” Marx said. “I don’t get it where did this guy come from?” “Long story,” Walker said. I looked at Marx suspiciously. There was something about him that didn’t seem well with me. I could not tell what it was. My senses was, telling me something and I was trying to pin point what it was. He himself seemed to be trying to size me up by react the way that he was reacting. I for some reason suddenly remembered about a tale that my father once told me it was a saga that was called the Svardaela Saga, it told a tale of a creature that was much like a Beghrest, but where we were like wolves, the Berserker was more like a bear. I was starting to get worried. Something in me was screaming to me that standing in front of us was a Berserker. Normally another Alpha male would not be substantial for me to worry about, but a Berserker. That was something else on its own. From what I remember about what my father taught me the Berserker was a huge creature, even bigger than he was, they had the power to uproot trees (something I knew even the strongest Beghrest could not do). And most terrifyingly this thing would go into an unstoppable frenzy. I quickly took a step back. I do not know what it was, but alarm bells were ringing, this man was an extremely dangerous man he was more than just a man. There was something that smelled savage about him, something that smelled that he was another predator one who had been a predator longer than I had been. “Step back everyone!” I said calling to everyone. “He is not what he seems.” Marx smirked at me. I couldn’t gauge him. I couldn’t feel what he was planning. The rest looked at me once and saw that I was serious and quickly moved next to me and stared over at Marx. They knew I would not just tell them to do something like that just because it was the thing to do. No, they knew my senses was much more acute than theirs. “Ah, a fellow predator huh?” Marx said as he tapped on the table. “What’s going on?” Umberto said. “He smells like a predator,” I explained. “A predator indeed,” Marx said, and he grabbed a knife from his vest and threw it at us. I moved out of the way and saw Marx throw off his jacket in one swift motion. “And you fool, you fell for my trap.” I saw that Marx did have a lot of knives on his vest. It had to be at least thirty of them, maybe more. He grabbed two knives and spun them around in his hands and crouched and started walking towards me. “Stand back,” I said to everyone else. Could I take on a Berserker? I wondered. I had no idea. The fact that a berserker even existed did not even surprise me at this point, but I was not expecting to see one. My father said they were much stronger than any Beghrest. That made wonder if could I fight this thing? “What is the meaning of this?” Umberto said pulling out his gun. “I would put that away if I were you,” I said. “Why?” Umberto asked. “Think about it, he got us here, he is the leader of GABE, if you shoot him GABE will be after you.” I said. “Damn right they will be after you,” Marx said. “Why?” Walker said sounding confused. “Who would you believe in this situation? A grizzled veteran and son of one of the founding fathers or a bunch of people that no one knew?” I asked. “Good point,” Walker said. “Careful he is a champion knife fighter,” Umberto said. “Fair enough,” I said then I looked over at Marx. “I guess you are not just all bells and whistles huh?” “Far from it,” Marx said. He put his knives away and smirked. “Giving up already?” I said laughing. One second, he was in front of me and then all of the sudden I had to quickly use my senses as he had appeared quite suddenly right in front of me. This was incredible because I had never seen anyone react this way. I quickly had to react and grab his arms that had both his knives back in them. He managed to shake himself loose and walked back. “Well your reflexes are pretty good,” Marx said as he walked around. “What the hell just happened?” Walker said. I knew that they had not seen me, or Marx move at all. No, we were way too fast for them to see us move the way that we had. Not even those stupid implants could keep up. I was pretty sure about that. Marx pulled out these different knives from his stash, these were talon shaped and he held them in his hands and he looked over at me and smirked again. He put the knives in his pocket and he walked around again. “I can tell you have no fighting skill at all,” Marx said. “Because you are depending too much on your speed.” I saw Marx move again, he had sprinted towards me and pulled out the blade from his pocket. I thought I was ready for it and attempted to block his attack, it was then I realized I had messed up he had attacked me with his weak hand, I knocked back his weak hand and I quickly pulled out the second blade from his other pocket and slashed my blocking hand before I pushed him back. I pulled back holding the cut and looking up at him. Blood dripping from his knife and from my arm. I was starting to become worried. He was not even showing his berserker and I was not doing any damage at all on him. The bad thing was that I could tell he was merely toying with me. “He slashed you!” Walker said. “No really?” I said holding my cut. It was only surface damage, but it still stung as hell. “Alright, you are a knife master, I am impressed.” I started to think could I use my speed and strength to get the best of him? I wasn’t sure if I could beat him. Marx simply put the knives back in his holsters and walked around. He grabbed a new knife. It looked like the other one, but he only held one this time. I thought this would be my chance. This time I attacked him. Marx smirked at me, I realized that he must have been expecting it. He grabbed the arm I had attacked with and used the momentum against me. I didn’t even realize he had gotten that knife in his hands somehow and he slashed something along my chest which made me fall forward. He then used his free hand and pulled my arm towards me and knocked me on the ground and before I knew it he hit me in the face. Marx simply put the knife back in his vest and walked back. I spat out blood from my mouth and got back up. “You ain’t even trying,” Marx said looking back at me. “I am trying!” I said. “If you want to beat the others, you need to be better than this.” Marx said. “What the hell are you giving me pointers for?” I asked. “I ain’t one to take on someone who cannot defend himself,” Marx said. “What the hell you have a code of honor?” I said. “Believe it or not I do,” Marx said. “Not stop goofing around and give me your best shot. Don’t worry about your strength and speed, I can take it.” I looked over at Marx and then over at everyone else. “Just don’t kill him, we need to know why they need that power sources for,” Umberto pointed out and I nodded.
