The ringing of hammer and chisel against stone drew Iarion’s attention toward the tower. Male dwarves worked together, building what appeared to be an addition. Iarion realized the entire tower was dwarven made. The stones fit together with barely a seam displaying a craftsmanship beyond any human. The dwarves working on them would have only been children when they had been captured. Iarion’s mind reeled at the thought as he took in the sheer size of the tower. More guards stood watch to keep the male dwarves in line. Iarion saw no sign of a slave pen. Where did the dwarves sleep at night? His heart sank. The only answer was somewhere inside the tower.
