Vivian’s head was covered with a thick black bag. She couldn’t see where she was and she could barely hear what was going on around her. The brutes who captured her had tied her hands and legs with strong nylon cords that bit into her skin when she moved. Even though she was terrified out of her mind, Vivian tried to stay as calm as possible under the unfortunate circumstances. The vehicle turned off the tarred road and got on a bumpy earth road that shook the van violently as they thundered on. No one spoke inside the vehicle and the only sounds she heard were the chirping of crickets outside and the scraping sound of tires on stones and sand.
