For the rest of the day, Vivian caught herself smiling whenever she thought about Oscar. Everything about their relationship seemed odd, but she didn’t mind.
It felt good to be wanted again; to have a man woo her and do his best to win her over. It was something that she hadn’t experienced in a while.
“Earth to Vivian,” Cynthia chimed, breaking into Vivian’s daydreaming.
“Hey,” Vivian giggled as she snapped out of her fantasy world. “What’s up?”
She was sitting on the open field on campus underneath a huge pine tree. Although she was supposed to be studying, her mind had continued to wander off into a fairytale land featuring her and Oscar.
